The Government’s Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme update

The Government have recently updated their Guidance on the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme for care responsibilities.

What is the update?

Employees are eligible for the grant and can be placed on furlough, if they are unable to work because they have caring responsibilities resulting from coronavirus (COVID-19).

Caring responsibilities include caring for children who are at home as a result of school and childcare facilities closing, or caring for a vulnerable individual in their household.
